    <comment>Our party of 4 had planned to got to another restaurant but on seeing the set menu option on the board outside this established we decided to change our mind. It turned out to be a great decision.
There was a very good choice on the set-menu and unlike what sometimes happens with set or Early Bird menus the portions were good-to-generous. The presentation and food quality was top class. We had 4 different starters and 4 different main courses. All were dispatched with total satisfaction. There was a good wine selection, and the house wines @ €20.50 were reasonably priced.
Our casual booking for 18.15 had beeen taken with the priviso that we vacate the table by 20.30. We had through this might have been just 'marketing spin'. But as 20.00 appraoched the restaurant was already full. There was a good buzz in the place with a your lad playing guitar &amp; singing. The kitchen was visable (like in the Hells Kitchen programme) from our table which added to the overall ambience of the place.
The only negative I can think of was the tables were packed in, with very little room between them. So possibly not the place for a romantic dinner for two.
Overall, top quality food, very well priced (2 course €18, 3 course €23) with good service all adding up to a very enjoyable evening.

    <comment>I have visited The Millstone on numerous occasions from casual lunch to a work night out and on every occasion the food, service and atmosphere has been fantastic. The early bird menu for 18 euro is great value and the food is always up to standard. There is live music in the form of a guy signing in the evening which is a lovely touch the only negative thing I can say is that space can be tight when there is a big group dining together but overall I would highly recommend The Millstone.</comment>

    <comment>We went there with 4 of my friends for an early bird on Saturday night at 6pm. We all had the 2 courses early bird for 18 euros (except one of the girls who only had a pizza). The food was really good and satisfying. We all enjoyed our meal. The service was great and the food came quickly even though it was very busy. The only minor complaint is that it was a bit loud. I would happily go back there.</comment>

    <comment>My husband and I went here one evening we were in town. We didn't have a reservation and even though the restaurant was packed they accommodated us and fit us in as long as we left by 8pm. My husband ordered a pizza and he loved it and I got this salmon stuffed with crawfish and other seafood. It was covered in this lobster sauce that I could've eaten on it's own and it came with veggies. The salmon was a huge fillet too, which I appreciated. I hate when they give you a tiny piece that doesn't fill you up. The only downside was that they sat us right next to the kitchen where the staff had to constantly be next to us to pick up orders. All you could here was the chefs shouting and it was very hot. Other than that I would definitely go back. </comment>

    <comment>Went here lastnight with some girlfriends. Great atmosphere, there was a guy playing guitar and singing. We had the Christmas menu which was 22.95 for 3 courses. I had the portobello mushroom which was delicious. For main I had the fillet steak which was delicious, served on mash potato with peppercorn sauce (sauce was a bit of a disappointment as it didn't really taste of anything. Also, we didn't get any side dish so just had the meat and the potato. We didn't have dessert. Overall, service was good, atmosphere was great, food was quite good, I would return for sure. Good value too.</comment>

    <comment>Today we visited here, my boyfriend and I, for brunch.

Upon entry; we found the atmosphere very relaxing and there was great music playing.. just what was required for a rainy bank holiday Monday!

I ordered a "Cool Passion"; a non alcoholic juice cocktail. It was delicious, and fabulously presented. My boyfriend had an orange juice.. so tasty! Can't figure out if it was different types of oranges or not.

We ordered french toast with bacon and maple syrup, for me and eggs benedict for my boyfriend. I was quite surprised at the presentation of my french toast. It was stacked and sprinkled with chives. Just brilliant :) My boyfriend's eggs were cooked beautifully, really impressed.

Definitely will be back for an evening meal.</comment>

    <comment>Four of us went for the early bird menu on a Friday evening. We were made feel very welcome and the waiter was very accommodating when one of the party was delayed. Not much atmosphere at first, but the place quickly filled up and the music was lovely in the background. The food is excellent value for the quality and generous portions. Smoked salmon for starters was delicious and the beef for mains was superb and well worth the extra 3 euro supplement. Will definitely be back. </comment>

    <comment>We went here on Friday evening and thankfully we had a booking as the place was quite crowded.  The only thing reason I didn't give 5 stars for atmosphere was because we were given a table right beside the kitchen where it was hot and bright yet 2 people who walked in moments before us with no booking were given a lovely table at the front of the restaurant.  To start I had the shallot and potato soup which was really tasty and filling and he had the garlic bread.  We ordered off the really good value set menu. I had the veggie croquette, poached pear option and he had the tofu steak.  Both of these dishes were amazing and a far cry from the "vegetarian dish of the day" unfortunately seen on so many restaurant menus these days.  The staff were attentive and friendly and we'll definitely be back.</comment>
