<comment>Went for an early bird on Saturday night and got my requested seat by the fire. - However there was a chap on a guitar about a foot away from us - it didn't ruin the evening but it would have been better if he hadn't been so close.
Food was very good - tasty!
Service was good also.
Would go back for definate.
Good value for the early bird 2 course of 18 Euro.

<comment>My main reason for choosing this restaurant was due to the coeliac options available and i was not disappointed. The garlic bread with cheese and pesto to start was excellent and a nice opener to the gf pizza that i had to follow. In fact, the portions were so big that I had to bring most of the pizza home in order to fit in some gf apple pie for dessert! The rest of my party had pies for main course which looked delicious. The only complaint was that the pastry was a little bit thick. Their starters of chowder, mussels and crab gratin also did not disappoint and the baileys creme brulee for dessert was fab. Overall its a great place to eat with very reasonable prices and a casual/cosy atmosphere.</comment>

<comment>Wow, I can't believe this place has been here for 2 years and I haven't heard of it until now! I was here twice over the Bank Holiday weekend - on the Friday for the Early Bird and on Monday for brunch. There was plenty of choice on the Early Bird Menu. I had Butternut Squash and Apple Cider Soup which was incredibly smooth and tasty and served with a generous portion of brown bread and a dollop of cream.
For Mains I had the Fish and Chips which came with fresh green leaves. It was very tasty and the batter wasn't too heavy. For dessert I got the Creme Brulee which was perfect and even came with a side of strawberries and cream. A perfect ending to the meal. I also loved the atmosphere - very warm and cosy. The singer/keyboard player added a nice touch although at first I thought it was a bit cheesy!
I'll definitely be back and trying to persuade the work crowd to come here at Christmas.</comment>

<comment>Millstone does more than just the trick. We were looking for a restaurant that could accommodate 12 people for a farewell dinner with a reasonable menu that caters for all tastes, and we certainly found it here. From booking the table right through to the bill, we were all smiles. We feared that the mezzanine table we were given might be a bit isolated. Not at all – it is the perfect spot for a “private” party, while still soaking up the buzz of the venue from below. None of the starters disappointed (prawn cocktail, seafood chowder, crab gratin), and neither did the mains, seafood and steaks all around. Mind you, the steaks were fantastic value for money – perfectly cooked and very generous portions. Lastly, the location on Dame St certainly leaves you with options for pints before and after!</comment>

<comment>Two of us ate here at 3.30 in the afternoon. Nice atmosphere with man playing piano. Extremely friendly waitresses. Food was delicious. Himself had the beef foccacia with home fries and I had the chicken foccacia. Very filling and good value. The dessert of chocolate profiterole mousse is to die for. We shared one. will definitely be back.</comment>

<comment>Have visited this restaurant many times both midweek and at weekends in the past year and have never been disappointed.

Food is excellent and staff are always friendly and helpful.

The guitarist adds to the athmosphere and there is always a buzz in the place.

Highly recommended.

<comment>Excellent food and the set menu represents great value. friendly and efficient staff and there is a real buzz in the place (might be bordering on a bit too noisy for some). Only criticism is the poor choice of beers and, although i'm a big fan of live music, the singer here doesn't add much and isn't really necessary given the lively atmosphere anyway. definitely worth a visit></comment>

<comment>Lovely cosy restaurant with a guitarist playing & singing in the background. Staff were friendly and very efficient.
Starter - Smoked Salmon, very generous portion, high quality, delicious fresh crisp sun dried tomato salad with an assortment of fresh herbs, 2 slices of brown bread (which was not really necessary although a "must" accompaniment for this particular starter!), generous helping of capers - all in all totally delicious
Main Course - Fresh Fish of the Day & Chips - This was outstanding, fish of the day was Cod, and it was deep fried in a light beer batter, crisp, fresh and so tasty, it was served with chunky chips which were homemade and divine, and the tartare sauce was again homemade and full of chunky gherkins, delicious - best fish & chips I have had in a long time
Dessert - not that I needed any!
Brown Bread & Baileys Ice cream, 3 large scoops served in a wafer basket and a light drizzle of caramel sauce, beautiful!
Fantastic value 3 courses €23 and will definitely return!
